Funky
Jazz trios like 7 Come 11 simply sound like nothing else. Gianni
Staiano, Hammond player for the group (and an accomplished recording
artist) coaxes some incredibly expressive, dancy grooves out of that
bulky box of keys. Drummer Kris Di Noto (who studied with percussion
genius Eugene Novotney, which is enough for me) and guitarist Mark Van
Ness... are no slouches either, filling out a band that seems to make
for a pretty great dance party.
